The Oklahoma City ‘s Safari Lights flipped on for the season Wednesday night – with thousands of festive lights in displays you can walk through and a mile of lights you can drive through.

We got a sneak peak during an event Wednesday night when Sean Trauschke, chairman, president and CEO, flipped a giant switch and a giant lighted Christmas tree display lit up in the zoo’s front foyer.

Then we started walking … and walking … and walking … through more light displays than I have seen at Safari Lights before. The trails of light wrapped around different areas of the zoo, and I didn’t even get to drive the mile route of lights.
