Coronado Middle School recently hosted its 15th Annual Take a Veteran to School Day on November 5, 2025, deepening a tradition dedicated to honoring veterans and teaching students about the meaning of service. The event, a partnership between The HISTORY Channel, Spectrum, and the local school community, featured approximately 200 students, veterans, and special guests, including city officials and school leaders.

Dennis Johnson, Senior Director of Communications at Spectrum, emphasized, “Spectrum has sponsored the event every year… The event has been a staple in the school’s calendar, fostering a strong connection between students and the veteran community in Coronado.”
