Brighton and East/World of Inquiry are Section V Football champions.

Now, the Class A teams face each other to try and win a spot in a New York State Public High School Athletic Association tournament.

East High/World of Inquiry defeated Brockport last week in the Section V Class A2. The Eagles hope to advance to the state tournament regional round again, after they reached the 2023 state semifinals.

Brighton, a state semifinalist last season, became a sectional champion in back to back seasons when the Bruins defeated Webster Schroeder in the Class A1 final last week.

The East/World of Inquiry versus Brighton winner faces the Section VI champion, Nov. 21 at All-High Stadium in Buffalo.
