A number of communities in Grey Bruce have lowered their flags to half mast to honour the John Deifenbaker senior school students who died in a crash.
Arran-Elderslie says it does so in solidarity with the families, friends, the John Deifenbaker Senior School community, colleagues, and everyone impacted by the tragic loss of the young students who died Tuesday in a single vehicle crash between Hanover and Durham.
A fourth youth was airlifted to London.
Arran-Elderslie says it shares in the community’s grief and is offering strength, support, and solidarity in the days ahead.
Other communities have done the same, the Town of Hanover lowered its flag and says it will be making a contribution to JDSS. Brockton has also lowered its flag, as has Georgian Bluffs, among other communities.
