Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person sought for questioning in connection with a grand larceny last month at a trading card shop in Manhattan owned by Tom Brady.
Nearly $10,000 worth of Pokémon cards and baseball cards were taken in the incident, which unfolded just before noon on Oct. 20 at the business on Lafayette Street in SoHo, according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
Police said a man entered the store and brought the items to the register. His credit card was declined, but he allegedly entered prompts into the terminal manually that overrode the system, without the employee’s knowledge, an NYPD spokesperson said in the statement.
