CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Federal Judge Stephen Limbaugh sentenced two former financial advisors to more than 12 years in federal prison for running a fraud scheme that defrauded investors.
Darrell Niswonger, 69, and James Johnson,78, admitted their guilt in court in August.
Judge Stephen Limbaugh sentenced Johnson to 188 months in prison and Niswonger to 150 months in prison.
The two men operated a Ponzi scheme that defrauded more than 90 victims of at least $5.7 million over 20 years.
The two men ran Johnson Niswonger Financial Planning Services in Perryville for more than two decades.
