Army senior Charlotte Richman qualified for the NCAA Division I cross country championships with her victory at a regional meet on Friday, Nov. 14.
Richman, from Portland, Oregon, won the NCAA Northeast Regional meet in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, with a time of 19 minutes, 52.8 seconds over 6,000 meters (3.72 miles).
The Army women - who recently won the Patriot League title - finished a solid third behind Boston College and Providence, missing out on the top two automatic qualifiers but the Black Knights would be in consideration for one of 13 at-large berths for the NCAA championships. The NCAA meet will be Saturday, Nov. 22, in Columbia, Missouri.
