Netflix’s Nouvelle Vague has been dubbed Linklater’s “love letter to the French New Wave,” as it reimagines the making of Jean-Luc Godard’s iconic 1960 film Breathless , which was shot in Paris in the late ’50s . “It’s a very special moment in history we were taking on,” Linklater told Tudum . “Everyone felt the obligation to get it right.”
