The moment prep football fans have been waiting for it’s finally here. It’s time for postseason football in the 337 as the opening round of the 2025 LHSAA Football Playoffs kick off this week.

Surviving and advancing is the only thing on teams’ mind for the 33 teams hailing from Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas. For seven area teams, the postseason journey won’t start till next week, with Teurlings Catholic, Jeanerette, Westminster Christian-Opelousas, Ascension Episcopal, Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy, Lafayette Christian Academy and Notre Dame earning a bye week.
