SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A new holiday activity opened Friday, November 14 in downtown Shreveport with the launch of “A Joyceful Holiday,” an immersive art exhibit displaying the work of illustrator William Joyce.
The exhibit at Artspace tells the story of a little bug with a big wish for a pair of sparkly red tap shoes. Joyce, the author and Artspace’s artistic director, said the story includes special characters from his previous books.
Joyce and his team spent two years developing the concept.
Joyce is a Shreveport native and renowned illustrator, writer and producer who has collaborated on several major animated films and created dozens of children’s books. The free, family-friendly exhibit brings his iconic storybook characters to life in an immersive display.
