ASHEVILLE - Loay Abougabal's global travels and studies have taken him to the mountains of Yemen and to the coffee shops of Ukraine before he made a home in Western North Carolina, where he is assisting with the launch of the new West Asheville cafe, MochaBox Coffee Company.

"I love coffee. I love this bean. At home, I've been dealing with it my whole life, since I was eight years old, making coffee, making drinks," said Abougabal, age 26, MochaBox's manager associate.
