DEFIANCE — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s help in locating the vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run crash involving a horse-drawn buggy.
The buggy occupied by Martha Wagler, 27, of Bryan and two children was struck from behind by a pickup truck about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, officials said. Troopers responded to the incident on eastbound County Road G near County Road 10 in Center Township.
The truck, believed to be a white Chevrolet Silverado, failed to stop and left the scene, the patrol said.
Ms. Wagler and the two children were taken to Parkview Bryan Hospital with serious injuries, the patrol said. Ms. Wagler was transferred to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., and the children were transferred to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Colu
