BUFFALO — The man charged with killing a co-worker with a sledgehammer is alleged to have told officers he had been “planning to kill the victim for some time.”
David Bruce Delong, 40, of Watkins, is charged with second-degree murder. He made a remote court appearance on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old woman who was killed has been identified as Amber Czech, of Hutchinson, by family members.
Delong and Czech both worked at Advanced Process Technologies in Cokato. According to the criminal complaint charging him, Delong bludgeoned her to death with a sledgehammer while Czech was at her work station.
The complaint also states that Delong admitted to the killing and allegedly told officers he had planned it.
