Defiance, Ohio investigators Friday asked for help finding the driver of a hit-skip crash that seriously injured a mother and two children who were traveling in a horse-drawn buggy.

About 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to County Road G near County Road 10 in Center Township. The preliminary investigation showed the buggy, occupied by 27-year-old Martha Wagler of Bryan and two children, was struck in the rear by a pickup truck, the Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The truck that investigators think was a white Chevrolet Silverado did not stop and left the scene, a news release said.

Wagler and the children were taken by ambulance to Parkview Bryan Hospital. Wagler was then transferred to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, and the children were ta
