EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. (KY3) -A suspect was arrested after a double homicide in Carroll County, Ark., on Friday.
According to the Caroll County Sheriff’s Office, on Nov. 14, deputies responded to a welfare check in the 3000 block of West Highway 62, just east of Eureka Springs.
Once on scene, deputies found the bodies of Joy Bennett Willmeth, 77, and Robert Leo Willmeth, 71. Officials said the victims appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds.
Deputies have yet to release further information on the arrested suspect. The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating this case, according to deputies.
