SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - With clear skies tonight, folks along the Suncoast get a terrific view of one of Florida’s favorite evening spectacles, a SpaceX rocket lighting up the sky.

You don’t need a telescope, binoculars, or even a science degree. All you need to do is step outside and look toward the northeast. The rocket will lift off from Kennedy Space Center, and even from Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice, the bright plume will be easy to spot as it climbs.

Timing matters (but don’t blink)

Once the engines ignite, the rocket becomes visible fast. You’ll likely first see it about 10–15 seconds after launch , depending on your view of the horizon. And here’s the key part: you’ll see it for about two to three minutes before it fades into the upper atmosphere.
