COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - With playful disbelief on his face, Texas A&M linebacker Taurean York filled the world in on the self-prescribed nickname he heard quarterback Marcel Reed had given himself in the fifth grade.

The matter only really came to light because Reed called himself the moniker when speaking to his mother next to York prior to A&M’s win at Missouri.

Or, was it really Reed that broke the news to the gathered media during York’s availability Tuesday? In reality, it was Reed who blurted “The Gingerbread Man,” before York could actually get to the punchline.
