An alleged harassment of a minor girl in Fatehwadi area on Thursday escalated into a full-blown skirmish between two groups with members flaunting revolvers, brandishing sticks, pelting stones, and creating panic in the area. Vejalpur police rushed to the spot after the control room was alerted. While cross-complains were registered, five people were detained and a case of molestation of a minor has been filed.

According to the police, Aftab Bharmani, a resident of Noor-e- Muhammad Society, had allegedly harassed a minor girl on Thursday evening. Late at night, Aftab was confronted by one Hakim Babani, a relative of the minor who allegedly threatened him. Aftab rushed home and informed his family and within minutes, a mob gathered.
