CUYAHOGA FALLS — The OHSAA football regional semifinal round provides a battle between two local powers looking to make history.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (10-0) host Akron East (10-2) in a Division III, Region 9 semifinal Nov. 14 at Royals Stadium. Both teams look to reach the regional final for the first time. Second-seeded CVCA defeated Geneva 42-7 to reach the semifinals, while sixth-seeded East beat Hawken 36-16 to advance.
