The Owls put up gaudy statistics, but they play too fast for their own good. Their defense pays the price, logging far too many downs for the talent level at the moment under first-year coach Zach Kittley. Tulane, which needs a dominant performance to impress the College Football Playoff selection committee, will score early and often if Jake Retzlaff and company duplicate their first-half execution from the Memphis game. Look for FAU to hit some big pass plays but not enough to hang with the Green Wave for long if everyone is focused.
