Boston police are investigating a double shooting in Mattapan on Friday evening, officials said.

Officers responding to a reported shooting in the area of 144 Standard St. around 5 p.m. found two people suffering from what were considered non-life-threatening injuries, according to Boston police.

The victims were transported to a nearby hospital.

No additional information was immediately available.
