A woman driving an 18-wheeler died after a crash with an automobile on Downman Road on Friday, the New Orleans Police Department said.

The NOPD said the crash occurred in the 6900 block of Downman and the call came in at about 5:38 p.m.

The truck driver was confirmed dead at the scene.

No other information was made available.
