BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol following a fatal crash on Russellville Road on November 2.

Bowling Green Police Department Public Information Officer Ronnie Ward says Imata Songolo, 20, of Bowling Green, turned himself in to police Friday evening after being released from a hospital.

According to the Warren County Regional Jail site, Songolo was booked into the jail at 7:04 pm.

The Bowling Green Police Department responded to a fatal collision at the 2300 block of Russellville Road in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 2.

Ward says Songolo was operating a vehicle and crossed into oncoming traffic, crashing into another vehicle.

One of the occupants, a male, of the struck vehicle was killed.
