CFL commissioner Stewart Johnston on Friday said the large majority of players, coaches and agents he’s talked to are in favour of his coming rule changes.
Saskatchewan Roughriders veteran long snapper Jorgen Hus calls BS on that claim.
“No. No,” Hus said on Friday. “Because nobody was consulted before. That’s the other thing that’s funny about it. But I’m at the bottom of the totem pole. There’s not much I can say. It’s not going to matter.”
Hus, a 36-year-old from Saskatoon, doesn’t expect a mass exodus of fans.
He just sees the bulk of the changes coming over the next two years as needless, particularly the moving of the goal posts to the back of end zones and the shortening of the field from 110 to 100 yards.
