1BRONX, NY – A 14-year-old boy was slashed in the hand aboard a northbound 4 train Sunday afternoon, prompting a police search for the man believed responsible.

The attack occurred around 3:30 p.m. as the train pulled into the Jerome Avenue and West 183rd Street station, authorities said.

The teen got off the train after being cut, while the suspect stayed aboard and continued northbound.
