BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Town of Tonawanda was sentenced Thursday morning to four years in prison and three years of post-release supervision for shooting a man during a confrontation at his auto repair business last December.
The Erie County District Attorney's Office said the incident began in November of 2023 when a woman brought her vehicle to Detrick D. Gray's auto repair shop on the 800 block of East Lovejoy Street in Buffalo.
Gray, who was known to the customer, agreed to repair the vehicle for $1,500. After she paid in cash and left her vehicle, Gray allegedly stopped communicating about the status of the repairs.
Around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 21, 2023, the woman and her boyfriend went to Gray’s business to ask about the vehicle. During a confrontation in the parking lot, Gray displayed a
