MakeMyTrip has joined hands with senior-care specialist Emoha to introduce EldersFirst, a collection of curated holiday packages designed specifically for older travellers. The companies said that the initiative aims to remove common barriers that prevent seniors from travelling, particularly concerns around health, mobility and safety, by offering end-to-end support including pre-trip medical checks, elder-friendly stays and 24x7 emergency coordination and a nurse accompanying each group.
With India’s silver-travel segment expanding rapidly, MakeMyTrip noted that customers aged 60 and above contribute nearly 9% of its holiday package bookings.
