FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Franklin County man was recently arrested for illegally shooting an alligator in the Tate’s Hell Wildlife Management Area, according to FWC.
According to Officer Stallings, who was on patrol in the area at the time, he saw people in a truck displaying artificial lights in what FWC says was a “manner consistent with disclosing the presence of wildlife.”
Officer Stallings said he watched the truck stop and several people get out.
According to FWC, one person, later identified as Morgan Ryan Babb, grabbed a gun from the truck and went towards a water-filled ditch. He then pulled a line, revealing an alligator that was attached to a hook, and proceeded to shoot it.
