CHEYENNE – A motorcyclist was injured Thursday in a crash near the intersection of Capitol Avenue and West Lincolnway.
At approximately 10:15 a.m., Cheyenne Police officers were dispatched to a single-motorcycle crash near the intersection of Capitol Avenue and West Lincolnway.
Scanner traffic originally indicated an SUV fled the scene after hitting a motorcycle, but no evidence was found that the motorcycle was struck by another vehicle.
Officers arrived to find a 38-year-old male rider with injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment. His condition was unknown Friday.
Preliminary information showed that the motorcyclist was traveling at more than double the posted speed limit on West Lincolnway, according to the Cheyenne Police Departme
