MINNEAPOLIS — On fourth down, Moorhead Spuds linebacker Logan Olson checked Lakeville South quarterback just behind the line to gain. The Spuds celebrations ensued.

The turnover on downs sealed sixth-seeded Moorhead's 26-14 win over No. 2 Lakeville South in the Minnesota Class 6A football semifinals Friday night at U.S. Bank Stadium.

After the postgame handshakes, the victorious Spuds ran across the field and jumped into the Moorhead student section. A Lambeau-leap type celebration in the home of the Vikings.

“I saw one of my teammates jump up there, then I was like I might as well jump up there with them,” Spuds quarterback Jett Feeney said of the celebration.

It was said even Spuds head coach Kevin Feeney made his way into the stands.
