US president Donald Trump is preparing to launch a sweeping legal fight against the BBC, declaring he will pursue damages worth billions after the broadcaster admitted it mishandled a video clip of one of his speeches.
The blunder has already cost two senior executives their jobs at the British broadcaster.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, the US President said legal action would begin imminently after the BBC acknowledged the clip, aired in the documentary, Trump: A Second Chance?, had been edited in a way that misrepresented the tone and timing of his remarks.
