The NDA’s “landslide" win in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections will also go down in history as the JD(U)’s most glorious as Nitish Kumar looks set to take oath as chief minister for the 10th time.

The party’s performance with a final tally of 85 out 101 seats was complementary to its ally BJP’s, which won 89 out of 101 seats.

Incumbent CM and JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar thanked people of the state after the ruling NDA achieved a thumping majority in the elections by “demonstrating complete unity".

“People of the state have expressed their confidence in our government by giving us a landslide mandate in the polls. For this, I bow to all the esteemed voters of the state, and express my heartfelt gratitude and thanks," Nitish wrote in a post on X.
