Balangir : A two-year-old baby elephant accidentally slipped and fell into the well in Latasahada village under the Muribahal forest range of Balangir district.

Upon being informed, forest department personnel have reached the site and are working to rescue the trapped elephant.

Meanwhile, the Forest Department authorities have urged people to stay away from the scene to avoid any potential danger. The forest department is using a JCB to dig an access path and rescue the elephant calf.

It may be mentioned that this is not an isolated incident, as a herd of 35 elephants has been roaming in the area, causing concern among locals.
