The Illinois General Assembly’s passage of the Northern Illinois Transit Authority Act (SB 2111) ensures that our region’s transit systems will have a stable, long-term path forward. The new law provides sustainable funding, stronger oversight, and a statewide commitment to keeping public transportation safe, efficient, clean, dependable and accessible.
