SAN ANTONIO — As work continues to bolster drivers' options at the Loop 1604/Interstate 10 interchange – one of the busiest in the San Antonio – TxDOT says next week's commuters will be the first to use two new flyovers opening there by 5 a.m. Monday.

Those will mark the fifth and sixth flyovers to open at the intersection this year. By this time next week, 1604/I-10 will have seen seven flyovers introduced in crews' attempts to decrease congestion on the northwest side.

The new ramps will make it easier to access either direction of Loop 1604 from I-10 East, according to Texas transportation officials.
