CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Fresh off reaching bowl eligibility for the second consecutive season, Illinois football seeks to run its winning streak to two versus the Maryland Terrapins.

Illinois has lost two of its last three, yet entered its second bye week of the season with a 35-13 win over Rutgers. Quarterback Luke Altmyer threw 4 touchdown passes and added 88 yards and another score on the ground. The much-maligned Illini defense didn't allow the Scarlet Knights to reach the end zone until late in the fourth quarter.

Maryland has lost five straight in Big Ten play, winning their conference opener against Wisconsin. Additionally, Illinois is 10-2 at home over the last two seasons, and is also 11-2 against unranked teams in that span.
