MANCHESTER, Ohio —

One person has died after a shooting involving police in rural Adams County on Friday evening.

According to OSP, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a person concerned for their safety, resulting in a chase.

After the chase, a shooting involving police happened on Ohio Brush Creek Road, around 5 p.m.

OSP said a person came out of the home with a firearm and the shooting occurred. It's not clear if that person fired shots. OSP said the person who came out of the house with a firearm died at the scene.
