LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The top-ranked Nebraska volleyball team kept its perfect season in tact with a win at UCLA on Friday. However, the Huskers’ streak of consecutive sets won came to an end. The Bruins took Set 3 on their home court, 25-19, handing Nebraska its first set loss since September 16. The Huskers had won 48 consecutive sets.
Andi Jackson led Nebraska with 15 kills on .625 hitting. Fellow middle blocker Rebekah Allick added 13 kills and seven blocks. Harper Murray, a two-time All-American and semifinalist for AVCA Player of the Year, finished with 14 kills.
While playing at famed Pauley Pavillion, Nebraska helped set another attendance record. The crowd, which featured hundreds of red-clad fans, was the largest in UCLA volleyball history. The official attendance was 10,498.
