CHENNAI: A day after dropping by Rs 1,280, gold price fell further by Rs 1,520 per sovereign in Chennai on Saturday (November 15), continuing the ongoing trend of market fluctuations. With this, the price of 22-carat gold stands at Rs 92,400 per sovereign (8 grams) and Rs 11,550 per gram, down by Rs 190.
A day earlier, on Friday (November 14), gold price fell by Rs 480 in the morning and further plunged by Rs 800 in the evening session, with a sovereign priced at Rs 92,400 and a gram at Rs 11,550.
The present oscillating trend follows a meteoric rise last month, when gold had surged to Rs 97,600 per sovereign (Rs 12,200 per gram) on October 17—the highest this year—before plunging to Rs 88,600/sovereign (Rs 11,075/gram) on October 28.
