YOUNGSTOWN Residents in Youngstown and the surrounding communities were treated to a free turkey dinner on Friday, November 14.
The event aimed to celebrate Thanksgiving with the community.
About 200 people were served in person, plus an additional 100 people were able to receive a meal via delivery.
Organizers of the event say that they were amazed by the amount of support from the community and by the number of donations that they received.
"Donations came, they came from nowhere. People from different churches, different organizations, individuals... People brought cakes, turkeys, hams. Everything you can think of, we got it delivered and we got it donated," said Tanisha Crafter, an organizer and entrepreneur.
