SAN DIMAS – The San Dimas Saints will go marching into the semifinals next week after a 28-8 win over Riverside Poly in a CIF-Southern Section Division 9 quarterfinal game on a rainy Friday night.
The Saints will host Warren next Friday at 7pm.
The Bears (8-4) scored first on a 25-yard pass from Marjok Gustafson to Michael Gaines with 4:56 left in the first quarter for a 6-0 lead.
The Saints set the tone for the rest of the game as they took the kickoff and marched 80 yards on 13 plays, keeping the ball for more than seven minutes, with Keenan Hoyt smashing in from the one yard line and a 7-6 lead.
Brady Arriaga kicked the extra point for a 7-6 lead and the Saints never looked back.
