Raegan Zaemann qualified second in the 100-yard breaststroke, and she swam on two Columbia River relays that also advanced No. 2 during Friday’s preliminaries at the 2A/1A girls swimming state championship meet in Federal Way.

Zaemann, a sophomore, cut nearly a half-second off her qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke to qualifying in 1 minute, 9.78 seconds — just behind No. 1 qualifier Ellie Field of Steilacoom (1:09.44). Zaemann also qualified sixth in the 200 individual medley.

Columbia River’s 200 medley relay of Ingrid Morrison Garcia, Raegan Zaemann, Sam Yamashita and Jordan Zaemann advanced as the No. 2 seed in 1:56.38. Bainbridge was the top qualifier in 1:53.70.
