Ithank Shelton Beach for accepting my challenge by writing a column regarding his “plan” for America. Although Beach and I are political opposites, we have a common bond as veterans. He’s a 24-year Army career man who served our country all over the world while I gave my time to the Navy with four years of active duty stateside and in Vietnam.

Shelton’s 13-point vision for America is worthy of consideration and I applaud his effort by answering my provocation. Some of his key points included equality, health care, a decent retirement for our senior citizens, presidential integrity, less federal intrusion in our lives, etc.
