SAN JACINTO — The San Jacinto High football team scored a touchdown and two-point conversion in the third overtime to defeat Charter Oak 29-27 in the rain Friday night.

The CIF Southern Section Division 4 quarterfinal victory sends the Tigers to the semifinals, where they are at Villa Park next week.

Jordan Bernard’s 10-yard touchdown pass from Josue Estrada and Bernard’s two-point conversion catch from Estrada gave San Jacinto (9-3) the tying and winning points.

“I told my team I had their back,” Bernard said. “I’m here for my team. They’re like my brothers. It felt great.”

The Tigers were so amped that they ran onto the running track and skipped to the student section. One hobbled TIGER even hopped on one leg to his classmates.
