A visibly joyous Tawde attributed the landslide victory in Bihar to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar . “The people reposed their trust in the BJP and the NDA. The scale of victory in a Hindi heartland is a giant leap that will impact the entire country,” Tawde said.

Gracious about his role in the resounding victory, Tawde credited “teamwork”, saying he merely tried to carry out the task assigned by the party to the best of his abilities.
