The Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) has approached Mumbai Police over the recent actions of certain paparazzi and online media outlets, accusing them of violating the Deol family’s privacy while veteran actor Dharmendra was unwell. The organisation has sought strict intervention to curb what it described as unacceptable behaviour by those covering the actor’s condition.

In a formal complaint submitted to the Senior Inspector of Juhu Police Station, IFTDA President Ashoke Pandit expressed concern over how some photographers and digital platforms handled the situation.
