Disclosing its first-ever 7 per cent stake sale to US private-equity firm General Atlantic for an estimated Rs 2500 crore, founder and managing director of Gujarat-based Balaji Wafers Pvt Ltd Chandu Virani said he “never wanted” to dilute the company’s stake, but ultimately agreed to after giving in to the younger generation’s vision for the company.
“The stake sale is 100 per cent confirmed. This is the first time for us and so perhaps the entire process will take about a month to conclude.
