Two Indians were arrested in Kathmandu for allegedly keeping 33 puppies in a cramped cage.
Nepal Police rescued the puppies and transferred them to an NGO for rehabilitation.
The accused have been remanded to judicial custody for five days.
Two Indian nationals have been taken into custody in Kathmandu after police discovered 33 puppies allegedly kept in cramped and inhuman conditions, according to PTI.
In a statement issued on Friday, Nepal Police identified the accused as Mohamad Guddu, 18, and Mohamad Nasad, 28, both from Alamgunj in Patna district of Bihar . PTI reported that officers located the animals inside a rented shed in the Chaumati area during a police operation.
