England players are continuing to turn their backs on the Premier League and EFL by testing themselves overseas.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham all have academy graduates starring abroad in a major European league.

Premier League clubs spent a combined £3.19billion on signings last summer, potentially blocking the pathway for homegrown stars.

However, unlike the turn of the century, it's not just England players in their prime that can find their feet at a top club on the continent.
