Skyrim has been out for such a long time now that I’d be surprised if any player, regardless of what platform they favour, was still playing the vanilla version of the game. Whether you like updating the visuals to make them a little more 2025, or replacing Alduin with Thomas the Tank Engine (complete with sounds), there’s basically a mod out there for everything at this point.
One of my personal favourite categories of mod to install on my own saves are those that add a little more immersion or drama to what has become a very familiar setting. One of the biggest areas that breaks that immersion on the 999th playthrough is the voices of the characters who inhabit the world.
